OOOOOOH ERRRR

WELLL lots of umming... ahhhing.... stropping..... grrrrring..... have decided I must really face facts which is that I cant put off travelling any longer than nov 09 and I need to be back by June 2010 in order to be here for Katy's wedding... so have 6 months to travel... and 7 months to save!!!!!!



Would have loved to do South America but it is going to be expensive to travel to as I wouldnt feel safe doing it on my own, especially as I dont speak spanish and am too lazy and poor to learn before I go... (i just dont know where i would find the time to be honest!) so would be doing guided tours etc.. which as well as being very pricey would also take away some of the excitement I think!! So have decided I will leave South America for later on in life when I have a travel buddy and maybe learnt Spanish!! Maybe then I can do a proper tour along the Amazon Bruce Parry Styleee rather than just a fleeting 3 day visit.

So... am now thinking.... LONDON- TOKYO - SYDNEY - AUCKLAND - MUMBAI - LONDON and then get side tickets in Oz, NZ and India and do some touring. I'd quite like to go to bangladesh too. Train travel in India is cheap and not so bad in Japan. I want to see sooooo many places but at the same time, I dont want to just spend a few days here and a few days there because I think it'll be a better experience to discover a few countries properly rather than loads of countries briefly!

Darjeeling Community Volunteer Project is appealing. Mumbai to Darjeeling return is £160 but I could get the train!!! :) Project is 30 mins from Darjeeling - lots of temples, monasteries, shrines and at the foot of the gorgeous Himalayas. Maybe with host family or if not then in a shared hostel with other volunteers. Mixture of healthcare, education and agriculture work. And lots of tea :) surely cant go wrong with lots of tea around! haha.

Oh god Ive got too much going on in my brain but went on Ju's hen night last night and feeling slightly worse for wear so going to stop typing now and continue another day!!
